employment assistance
We have hired professionals to find jobs for asylum seekers, prepare them for interviews, and, if necessary, buy them professional attire. Our program is crucial to resolving migrant employment issues and will allow them to accumulate enough funds to hire lawyers for their immigration cases.
Many asylum seekers can't wait to work and start living the American dream. Each week the Amadou Ly Foundation partners with WorkForce1 for free to help build resumes, present jobs to asylum seekers, and host job fairs for immigrants to explore many types of jobs. Workforce1 is a service provided by the NYC Department of Small Business Services to prepare and connect immigrants to job opportunities across New York City.
Our goal is to help immigrants find employment and empower them to make a meaningful impact in the American workforce.
Workforce1 helps New Yorkers prepare for, and connect to, jobs across New York City's five boroughs and in every sector of the economy.
